Domestic Abuse

Domestic abuse is an issue that can affect anyone, with one in three women and one in six men experiencing domestic abuse in their lifetime.

There are many types of domestic abuse including psychological, physical, digital/online and coercive control (such as isolating you from friends and family). And it’s an issue that is often not discussed and hidden from view which is why we’re supporting the ‘16 Days of Action Against Domestic Abuse’ campaign (which runs from 25 November until 10 December)

Support is available

Take a look at our Domestic Abuse policy to find out more about Domestic abuse its impact on the workplace and what support Amey can provide.

Domestic Abuse Ambassadors - we’ve trained 15 of our Wellbeing Ambassadors to be Domestic Abuse Ambassadors who can be contacted by any Amey employee for a chat and they will signpost people to help and support.

You do need to be on the Amey network to access details of the ambassadors. If you can't access this list please ask your manager, your People Business Partner or phone People Services on 0800 521 660 (option 2) or email them at PeopleServices@amey.co.uk
