Domestic Abuse

Domestic abuse is an issue that can affect anyone, with one in three women and one in six men experiencing domestic abuse in their lifetime.

There are many types of domestic abuse including psychological, physical, digital/online and coercive control (such as isolating you from friends and family). And it’s an issue that is often not discussed and hidden from view.

This is why are proud to be signed up to EDAC, the Employers Domestic Abuse Covenant.

Support is available

We now have Domestic Abuse Ambassadors and dual role Domestic Abuse and Sexual Harassment Ambassadors - we’ve trained 36 people in total in trauma informed response.

The Ambassadors can be contacted by any Amey employee for a confidential chat. The ambassadors can provide, support and signposting to anyone affected by Domestic abuse or Sexual harassment. To see a list of ambassadors go to the Domestic abuse ambassadors list tab.
