Railcards
A Railcard is a discount card that gives you up to 1/3 off your rail travel.
What is the Benefit?
Amey is offering employees the option to purchase one Railcard annually against company expenses, resulting in a completely free of charge Railcard. All we ask is that the card is used whenever you travel on company business.
Employees may purchase any Railcard recognised by National Rail, as long is it does not exceed the value of £35 for a one year card.
This benefit will only apply to any new railcards purchased on or after the 1st April 2024.
The primary Railcards available are:
- 16-25 Railcard
- 26-30 Railcard
- Senior Railcard
- Disabled Persons Railcard
- Veterans Railcard
'Two Together' and 'Family & Friends' Railcards are not permitted in this scheme.
Employees must purchase the Railcard in the first instance before claiming the money back from Amey. Amey will not purchase the Railcard on employees' behalf. Once purchased, employees can claim the money back by raising an expense claim on SAP Concur.
Railcards are only available for Amey employees to be used by employees only and are not available to purchase for friends or family.
How do I claim?

When submitting a claim, please select the 'Railcard' drop down expense option.
You must attach a picture of your Railcard when submitting your expense claim.
