Multicultural Network

Multicultural Network’s vision is of it to be business as usual in all that we do which allows our clients, colleagues and the local communities we serve to thrive and achieve their full potential;
regardless of their background, beliefs and demographic.

Our Focus

We have 6 Principal Focus areas that guide our activity; to stay true to Our Purpose and improve the chances of Amey achieving Our Vision.

They are split into two areas:

- Strategic Focus: business wide areas

  1. Representation
Achieving the benefits of ED&I by having a strong foundation of representation through the business at all levels and especially at the highest levels of the organisation. Enhancing ‘Social’ and ‘Safety’ from within.
  2. Efficacy
Improve our chances of success and achieve VfM for our stakeholders by working with the Unity Group and BUs in an aligned manner. Utilising skillsets and experience of specialists and those who are best placed to make an impact.
Embedding the use of quantitative and qualitative data to target areas of focus, measure progress and success.
  3. Culture
Embedding tangible change in our organisation with Equity and Inclusion accepted as the way we do our business. Elevating the importance of Inclusion to the level of Safety, as Psychological and Physical safety go hand in hand.

- Delivery Focus: network specific

  1. Knowledge
Increase awareness and knowledge both inside and outside of the business around Multiculturalism and the specific areas of focus with an approach of implementing practicable change. Acting as a source of subject matter experts for key business functions, including, but not limited to: H&S, ESG and People Teams.
  2. Support
A practical source of support for colleagues, line managers and business functions alike. A practical source of knowledge, guidance and input. A separate and regular safe space for those who need it.
  3. Marketing & Comms
Raising awareness of MCN, supporting its purpose and delivery effectively through various channels.
